Tour Plan

Day 1 Cusco - Mollepata - Soraypampa

We will take you up from your Cusco hotel at 6:00 a.m. Then we'll head to Mollepata, a little Andean settlement 2,976 meters (9,763 feet) above sea level. We will stop in Mollepata for breakfast.

After breakfast, we will hike for approximately 7 hours to the stunning Humantay Lake. After taking in the breathtaking surroundings, we will climb to Soraypampa village, which is located 3,900 meters (12,795 feet) above sea level.

We will set up our campground in Soraypampa, have dinner, and spend the night there. We will have hiked approximately 16 kilometers on the first day (9.94 miles).

Day 2 Soraypampa - Huayracmachay - Collpapampa

After breakfast, we'll depart our campsite early in the morning. Then we'll climb to the Salkantay Mountain Pass, the highest point of the journey. After passing through this point, we will descend to Huayracmachay, where we will halt for lunch.

After lunch, we'll hike to Collpapampa, where we'll set up our campsite, have dinner, and spend the night. We will have walked around 22 kilometers on the second day (13.7 miles).

Day 3 Collpapampa - Playa Sahuayaco - Santa Teresa

We will depart our campsite after breakfast in the morning. Then we'll climb to Playa Sahuayaco, where we'll eat lunch. After that, we'll hike to Santa Teresa, which is 1,500 meters (4,921 feet) above sea level.

We will explore Colcamayo village and its famous hot springs once we arrive in Santa Teresa. We'll have dinner and spend the rest of the night in Santa Teresa town once we've spent some time there. We will have walked approximately 16 kilometers by the third day (9.94 miles).

Day 4 Santa Teresa - Hidroelectrica - Aguas Calientes

We'll leave Santa Teresa after breakfast. Then we'll walk to the Hidroelectrica train station. We'll be strolling along the train tracks that connect Aguas Calientes to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We'll have lunch at Hidroelectrica.

Following that, we will travel to Aguas Calientes, a little village that serves as the entrance to Machu Picchu. When we arrive in Aguas Calientes, our staff will transport you to your hotel room. After supper, you will have free time to explore the town and visit its famed hot springs. On the fourth day, we will have walked around 16 kilometers (9.94 miles).

Day 5 Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

We will take a bus to the Machu Picchu citadel after eating breakfast early in the morning. We will enter the Inca citadel after passing through the security checkpoint. Then you'll get a full guided tour of Machu Picchu.

You will visit some of Machu Picchu's most iconic sites, such as the Intihuatana, the Main Temple, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the Temple of the Sun, among other Inca monuments. If you have acquired an entrance ticket to Machu Picchu or Huayna Picchu, our staff will transport you to the respective entrance.

We will return to Aguas Calientes after the trip. You will be free to eat lunch at a local restaurant after you arrive. The tour price does not include the cost of the lunch. In the afternoon, we'll take a train to Ollantaytambo, a village in the Sacred Valley.

When we reach Ollantaytambo, our personnel will transport you back to Cusco, where you should arrive around 10:00 p.m.
