Tour Plan

1 Day Inca Trail Hike

We will pick up everyone from the hotel in Cusco at 4:00 A.M. The early start will keep the day calm and help us avoid heavy crowds. We will drive through the Sacred Valley toward Ollantaytambo, passing rivers, farms, and quiet Andean towns. The peaceful morning scenery will slowly ease us into the adventure.

At the Ollantaytambo train station, we will board a scenic train toward KM 104. The ride will follow the Urubamba River and reveal steep mountains and cloud forest landscapes. Once we arrive, we will pass the control checkpoint for permits and passports. This is where the 1 Day Inca Trail hike officially begins.

We will start hiking uphill on original Inca stone steps. The trail will move through thick vegetation and open viewpoints above the Urubamba canyon. We will reach Wiñay Wayna, one of the most impressive sites along the trail. The guide will explain the terraces, water fountains, and the spiritual role of this place.

After a short rest and lunch break, we will continue toward Inti Punku, also known as the Sun Gate. The climb will feel challenging but very rewarding. Machu Picchu will slowly appear in the distance as we approach the viewpoint. This first view from the trail feels truly special and unforgettable.

We will walk down from the Sun Gate directly into Machu Picchu. The guided visit will cover temples, plazas, and ceremonial spaces. The guide will share stories about Inca life, architecture, and beliefs. There will be time for photos and relaxed moments inside the citadel.

After finishing the visit, we will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes. We will board the train back to Ollantaytambo later in the afternoon. Private transport will take us back to Cusco in the evening. The day will close with lasting memories of history, landscapes, and a meaningful hike to Machu Picchu.
