Tour Plan

Day 1- Arrival in Lima and City Tour

We will begin our Peru Trip Packages 8D/7N in Lima, arriving at the airport where a representative will welcome us. We will transfer to our hotel to rest after the flight. In the afternoon, we will start a city tour, exploring Lima’s colonial streets, Plaza Mayor, Plaza San Martín, and the Paseo de la República. We will also visit the Convento de San Francisco, its catacombs, and the Museo del Banco Central de Reserva. This day will give us a first glimpse of Peru’s rich culture and history.

Day 2- Ballestas Islands and Huacachina, Ica

Early in the morning, we will travel to Paracas for the Ballestas Islands tour. We will ride a boat to admire sea lions, Humboldt penguins, pelicans, and booby birds. Afterward, we will continue to Ica and visit a vineyard, tasting local wines and pisco, and enjoy lunch. Later, we will explore Huacachina oasis, surrounded by golden dunes and palm trees, and try sandboarding and tubulares. In the evening, we will return to Lima to rest.

Day 3 - Flight to Cusco and City Tour

We will fly to Cusco and transfer to our hotel for rest and acclimatization. In the afternoon, we will explore the city’s historical treasures, including Qoricancha, Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Pukapukara, and Tambomachay. We will witness the grandeur of Inca architecture and its ceremonial importance. After the tour, we will return to the Plaza de Armas, free to continue exploring.

Day 4- Sacred Valley with Connection to Machu Picchu

Day 4 will take us to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will visit Chinchero to see colonial churches and local textile workshops. Next, we will explore Moray’s circular terraces and then continue to Maras salt mines. We will stop for lunch in Urubamba before visiting Ollantaytambo, its fortress, and temples. In the late afternoon, we will board the train to Aguas Calientes and prepare for Machu Picchu.

Day 5 – Machu Picchu Visit

We’ll pick you up at 08:00 AM and walk to the bus station. We’ll ride the Consettur bus for 25 minutes up the mountain. At Machu Picchu, we will enjoy a guided tour of three hours.

 

We will tour the citadel’s temples, terraces, and sacred areas for about three hours. We will also have free time for photographs and personal exploration. After lunch in Aguas Calientes, we will return by train and bus to Cusco.

Day 6 – Humantay Lake

We will depart very early for Humantay Lake. We will drive to Soraypampa at 3,900 meters above sea level and begin a 1h 40min trek to the lake at 4,200 meters above sea level. We will admire turquoise waters surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Optional horse rides are available for those preferring less walking. After the trek, we will return to Mollepata for lunch and then to Cusco.

Day 7 – Rainbow Mountain

We’ll leave Cusco between 04:00 and 04:45 AM and drive to Cusipata. Then we will drive to Phulawasipata, then trek approximately 1h 40min to reach 5,080 meters above sea level. The mountain displays stunning multicolor layers and surrounding peaks. We will descend and enjoy a lunch before returning to Cusco in the late afternoon. Optional horse rides are available.
