Choquequirao Treks
Choquequirao is an ancient Incan city located in the Andes Mountains in Peru. It was built by the Incas around the 15th century, and was thought to be a royal estate for the Inca emperor, Pachacuti. The city was abandoned by the Incas in the 16th century and remained largely undiscovered until the late 19th century.
Today, Choquequirao is one of the most impressive archaeological sites in South America. It is an amazing complex of terraces, staircases, and temples that are connected by a network of paths and roads. The terraces were built to provide food and water for the city, while the staircases allowed the Incas to move between the different levels of the city.
Choquequirao is a must-see for any traveler looking to explore the incredible history and culture of the ancient Incas. The site is still relatively unknown and has yet to be fully excavated, making it a great place to explore and discover the secrets of the Inca Empire.
