Ausangate Treks
Ausangate is a mountain in the Peruvian Andes, located approximately 70 km southeast of Cusco. It is one of the most important and venerated peaks in Peru, and its snow-capped peak rises to 6384 meters (20944 feet) above sea level. The mountain has been considered sacred by the local indigenous people for centuries due to its high altitude.
The area surrounding Ausangate is home to an array of wildlife including condors, llamas, alpacas and vicuñas as well as many species of wildflowers that bloom during different seasons throughout the year. A popular trekking route takes hikers around Ausangate’s base, offering stunning views across valleys filled with vibrant colors from nearby lakes and mountain sides covered with native plants..

Cusco hotel transfer
4:30 am
At 4:30 in the morning, we will pick you up from your accommodation in Cusco. Then, we will travel for almost three hours to Pacchanta town, which is situated at 4400 meters (14435 feet) above sea level. You will have a light breakfast before starting the trek.
Then, after a 2.5-hour climb, we will arrive at the Ausangate viewpoint, which is situated 4,800 meters (15,748 feet) above sea level. From there, you will be able to take in the breathtaking scenery that envelops Ausangate Mountain. You will also be able to spot the beautiful 7 lakes of Ausangate, which stand out for their vivid hues.
We'll spend some time at the Ausangate lookout point before heading back to Pacchanta for a typical meal. Additionally, you can visit the well-known Pacchanta hot springs and take a dip in its relaxing waters. Finally, we'll head back to Cusco, where we will arrive around 6:30 pm.
